FAQ

Do I need to live in Bastrop County to be a member?
Our members can live or work in Bastrop County or any adjacent county (Travis, Williamson, Lee, Fayette, Caldwell).

I am under 18 or over 40 years old. Can I still join?
Absolutely! We offer associate memberships for those that are over or under the Young Republican (YR) official age range. Associate members support the organization and receive invitations to attend  our members only events but are not eligible to vote in elections or attend official state or national events as a delegate or club representative.

What is included in membership?
Regular Members are eligible to vote in our club’s elections and constitutional amendments as well as run for executive board positions in our club. Also, Bastrop County Young Republicans is an officially federated club of the Texas Young Republicans (TYRF), which is a federated organization under the Young Republicans National Federation (YRNF). Regular will be eligible to attend state and national YR conventions as delegates or club representatives.

What do the membership dues pay for?
Part of your membership dues cover our club’s annual required federation dues to the Texas Young Republicans. The other portion covers operating expenses that our club directly incurs throughout the year.

How often do I pay membership dues and how much are they?
Members and Associate Member dues are $15 per year. Membership expires one year to the date from your payment.
